Moving into a new home can be exciting and overwhelming at times.

Stay on track and make your move-in process fast and easy with our guide below.

  • Pay Your Deposit
  • Contact Utility Providers e.g. water, sewer, gas, electric, cable, etc.
  • Obtain Renters Insurance ($100,000 for apartments and $300,000 for all other housing).
  • Review and sign your lease, addenda and HOA rules and regulations (if applicable).
  • Update your Address with the United States Postal Service (USPS).
  • Pro Tip: If your mailbox is owned by the Post Office, you will need to arrange for a key to be provided. Ask your leasing agent about mailbox ownership.
  • Pay any remaining move-in funds.
  • Protect your deposit by completing and return your move-in checklist within 7 business days.
